Clear Creek

Water; brackish to fresh varies with rain and tides smooth.

Location; access from west end of Clear Lake. Runs from Friendswood to League City and turns into Clear Lake. http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&hl=en&ll=29.522235,-95.111732&spn=0.04287,0.059395&z=14

Boat Ramps; Engret Bay Blvd / FM270, (free) good ramp, not much parking. Galveston County Park, off Hwy 3, (free) good ramp, good parking.

Food; none, head to Clear Lake.

On the water Fuel; none, head to Clear Lake.

Comments; Nice leisurely ride from Clear Lake up into Friendswood past Friendswood Link Rd were it gets to narrow. Area is frequented by wake boarders, tubers and PWCs. Galveston County Park is a good place for a family picnic and taking turns riding the skis.

  1. Very good info on places to ride - mostly on the south-side though. What about places just north of Houston?

For example, Lake Conroe is a great place use a PWC - lots of places to dock/eat/hang out and several coves to just relax. And what about the San Jacinto River?

Plus, if you're willing to travel a bit, try going a little further outside of Houston to a few smaller lakes - although small they are much less crowded, especially on the weekends.

Hey, I'm not bashing your post; I think you did a great job with the ones you did list. You just did such a good job with these I think you should cover more ground - LOL!
